Flow Through

IMG_8181

Found this see through flowy black dress one night while I was going through all the things that had been left untouched for the longest time now in my stack. I could not believe that this has been sitting, gathering dust, in my closet. Nearly forgot all about this.

I have been waiting for a slight blow of wind to capture how this dress works with the breeze but all we got was rain droplets. Nonetheless, my brother was still able to take naturally amazing photos of it. We spent another wonderful afternoon outside picking up dried leaves and branches that we found lying on the mountain side and watching those burn to ashes. Hope the rain would not yet pour anytime soon as the mangoes are now on its way to full blossom.

Nature’s Gravity

I have always spent time outside with nature. I literally spent my growing up years close to it. But its beauty only dawned on me when I have to live far from it to pursue my studies in the city. I never knew that, all those years, I had taken living with it for granted. The first breath of fresh air weeks after staying in one with all the dirt, smoke and chaos from the city hit me with the realization that I am missing my hometown more than ever. The scenic view of the ocean and how it meets with the sky, which we always see as we travel from our school to our home, became more majestic, colorful… magical in my eyes. The trees grew life. The flowers became warmer to me . The skies a hue brighter. Finally, I have come to appreciate what I got.

My much loved holiday has again came and it was yet again celebrated with the people whom I care for the most. I always get so hyped up when Christmas time comes. The Santa episodes and North Pole imaginings may have long been gone but I still never fail to get this inevitable joy and giddiness every single moment I am hit by the realization that it is indeed nearing. Christmas definitely strikes my being in a different but wonderful way and I am very much blessed that I still do feel this way towards the season. Hope everyone is having a wonderful time right now like I do! May we never lose sight of the joy that we ought to feel and the true essence of the celebration in our hearts! Happy holidays everyone!

Fill in the Blanks

pilipinas kay ganda or not_2

Still for B. Short, direct and globally comprehensible! And besides, changing the tourism slogan should not be at the top of their priority list. The current slogan is doing good and the country has no need for this kind of change right now! There are lots of things, more important things by the way, that they should be focusing their efforts on other than just brewing a new but unnecessary slogan.

Monotone

New acquaintances. Long lost relatives. Familiar faces. Close friends and family friends. Breezy night. Loud and fun people. Open bar. Unlimited photo taking. Yummy dishes. Black and white ensembles. Crying. Laughing. Feeling. Dancing. Singing. Storytelling. A night to remember.
