Walked around Chinatown days before Chinese New Year. The place has been literally covered with a bright red hue, which the Chinese considers to be a lucky color.

We are in a world of materialism and I am currently in a country which prides itself on its abundance of shopping opportunities.

The item on the right is a trap. Any normal person would immediately think that the item could satisfy their hunger but sad to say it’s just a coin bank, so please stop your saliva from dripping please!

Auntie Gizmo

IMG_7172
I love Gizmo! I love how she reverberates a sound every time she sees me coming towards her. I love how she lifts her paw and waves it from side to side as if telling me to stop patting her head every time I do so. I love how she closes her eyes whenever I stroke the bridge of her nose. I love how she slowly looks away each time I try to take a photo of her catty face but I also love her enthusiasm and readiness to make a cute pose whenever she is in the mood to have her photo taken. =) I love the fact that whenever I just feel the urge to play with her, she will just be there outside, bumming on the chair especially bought for her by Auntie (our neighbor).

Auntie told me that my dad never fails to pat Gizmo whenever he passes by the corridor. She also thinks that we better call Gizmo, Auntie Gizmo from now on since she is a close friend of our dad. And whenever I fail to call her that, Auntie always immediately jumps in to jokingly remind me just that.

Gizmo is definitely a charmer but our dad’s landlady also thinks that she is a lucky charm especially to those people who she likes and are chummy with her. Maybe she really is because my dad had won the Toto a number of times already!

Scream Fest (GMax)

Different people have different opinions and POV’s about certain things.
Me: Putik! Ang saya!
Ced: OMG! F*ck! Ayoko na! May swing pa! (Referring to the GX5 Extreme Swing that we had also tried right after the Gmax)

A quotable dialogue.
Chinese guy in charge: How was it?
Me: It’s fun! (That’s the only thing I did say. Sirang plaka ba, e kung sa talagang nasiyahan naman ako!)
Ced: I think I left my soul up there!
Chinese guy in charge: Then get it back later, get back later. (Ced shook his head and gave off a laugh which when translated definitely means “No way! Are you effing kidding me?!?”)

Funny!
