Little Red Dot

Just landed hours ago on the hottest dot in the planet. I still can recall the feeling that I felt the first time I went here. I was more or less 10 years old by then, a little bit slimmer than my 8 year old, doning 30-inch waistline self. I was always changing my hair do then (pigtails on one day, a pony tail the other), was oblivious of the things happening around me, was lagging behind the footsteps of my parents but leading my two younger brothers, was holding one of my parent’s hand for fear of getting lost and being swallowed by a continuous wave of crowd. But despite the innocence and unfamiliarity of the place, I immediately fell in love with the country. I think that’s the main reason why I fell in love with it in the first place; it is far different and progressive from where I came from. No sense of belonging, yes, but just a sense of novelty and adventure that kept my playful stance enjoying every bit of the stay and surprisingly still wanting more.
